Currently the city is practically in the dire state of a dictatorship, in many ways; for example, an individual elected official currently cannot place an item on the agenda without mayoral or majority approval; meaning that if a representative wanted to discuss a matter that  is "inconvenient" to the interests of the majority council board that issue is ignored and residents have no recourse but to persist in each Public Comment opportunity. Example two: Paramount is currently in violation of the Voting Rights Act of California; hence why the  vast majority of elected officials reside in the same area (east of Paramount Blvd) and why the west-Paramount area is treated differently. Example three: we are currently running in this election against a near eighty-year old incumbent official who has been in power for nearly thirty years; this individual and the current board pretend to be for Term Limits during elections but then refuse institute them when in office. My civic reforms will change that.

Sanctuary City Status

For The Safety Of ALL Residents

In a truly robust Sanctuary City, the commitment to protecting vulnerable residents (Documented or not) is woven into the fabric of daily governance—and that begins with a firewall between local data systems and federal immigration enforcement. The city enacts a legally binding Data Protection Ordinance that prohibits any municipal department from sharing personally identifiable information with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), including ICE and CBP, without a judicial warrant. This covers everything from police license plate readers and traffic cameras to public school enrollment databases, utility records, and library card logs. The city also bans the purchase or use of federal surveillance tools—such as facial recognition or cell-site simulators—that could indirectly feed DHS intelligence, and it mandates regular third-party audits to ensure no "backdoor" data sharing exists through regional fusion centers. Any violation by city employees results in termination and whistleblower protections for those who report overreach.

For Securing Basic Living  Necessecities

Part of our Core Vision is to transition the city away from heavy industry and speculative real estate and into mixed-income, and publicly owned social housing. This plan deindustrializes obsolete or polluting industrial zones—offering workers guaranteed just transition funds, retraining, and green jobs for locals—repurposing the land for high-density, sustainable, permanently affordable social housing. Inclusionary upzoning accompanies every rezoning: any new market-rate development must set aside 50% of units at below-market rates, with deeper affordability for extremely low-income households.

This includes the phase out of heavy industry in designated corridors through heavy taxation, buyouts and environmental remediation negotiations. Rezone these industrial sites exclusively for mixed-use social housing with community land trusts, ensuring the land remains publicly owned and never resold for profit.
